Potato gnocchi are fluffy little dumplings of pasta that have all the comfort of pasta and mashed potatoes combined. This Baked Gnocchi recipe takes a good thing and makes it amazing! Just saute some pancetta with crushed red pepper for heat, then add the potato gnocchi and our Creamy Tomato Sauce. Top with mozzarella cheese and bake until perfectly melted. A few ingredients and 30 minutes are all you need to make this delicious Baked Gnocchi recipe.

Ingredients

  • 32 ounces frozen potato gnocchi (you can also use refrigerated or shelf-stable gnocchi)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 ounces diced pancetta or bacon
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
  • 1 jar (23.75 ounces) Prego® Creamy Tomato with Garlic Sauce
  • 4 ounces fresh whole milk mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced fresh basil leaves or flat-leaf parsley (optional)

Instructions

  • Step 1

    Cook and drain the gnocchi according to the package directions.  While the gnocchi are cooking, heat the oven to 400°F.

  • Step 2

    Heat the oil in a 12-inch ovenproof skillet over medium-low heat.  Add the pancetta and red pepper, if desired, and cook for 3 minutes.  Add the cooked gnocchi and cook for 2 minutes.

  • Step 3

    Add the sauce and heat to a boil.  Remove the skillet from the heat.  Top with the cheese.

  • Step 4

    Bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Sprinkle with the basil before serving, if desired.
