This isn’t your mom’s tuna noodle casserole! Our Roasted Garlic Parmesan Alfredo Sauce, Italian seasoning and sun-dried tomatoes give an old classic a modern update with Italian flair.  Buttered bread crumbs on top add the perfect crunch to contrast with this creamy bake.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 8 ounces farfalle (bow tie) pasta
  • 1 jar (14.5 ounces) Prego® Roasted Garlic Parmesan Alfredo Sauce
  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna in oil, drained
  • 1 cup frozen green peas, thawed
  • 1/2 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, crushed
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta cooking water

  • Tips

    • Add some heat by stirring some crushed red pepper flakes into the farfalle mixture.
    • For even more cheese flavor, stir some grated Parmesan cheese into the farfalle mixture.
  • Step 1

    Heat the broiler to HIGH.  Stir the bread crumbs and butter in a small bowl. 

  • Step 2

    Cook farfalle according to package directions and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water. Drain the pasta and return pasta to the pot along with the sauce, tuna, peas, tomatoes, Italian seasoning and reserved pasta water. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Heat until gently simmering. Pour into a 2-quart casserole.  Sprinkle with the bread crumb mixture.

  • Step 3

    Broil for 3-4 minutes or until the bread crumbs are golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes.
