4 children 2 adults in under 20 minutes
Its Sunday night and I am fresh out of ideas. I am cooking from the pantry at this point because my work week just didn't allow for grocery shopping, we had a scouts camping trip all weekend and we have just come into town with enough time to shower, prepare for the next week and OH YEAH, EAT!
I saw 2 cans of the Nacho Cheese condensed soup in the cabinet, a bag of Tostitos chips and thought..Okay, do it. I went to the web page and grabbed this recipe. I added 1 can of pinto beans, and 1 can of diced green chilies. I also sprinkled a little bit of kraft shredded mexican cheese. Because I had a bit left.
This meal wasnt the best thing I have ever eaten. BUT it was a GREAT MEAL because while no one raved over my handcarved radishes or exclaimed my lobster bisque divine, I fed 4 children ages 6-11 with ANY COMPLAINTS. My husband has seconds and my daughter asked if I could pack the left overs (yes there were left overs) in her lunch in her warm container.
So while this meal is not one that will impress your inlaws BEFORE you have children. It IS one to be served once you do because EVERYONE will be quiet, contentedly eating and you can do it all (including dicing fresh tomatoes and even lettuce) in under 20 minutes from can to table.
Very easy and good
I used fiesta nacho cheese soup for added spice and topped with lettuce as well. Great game time snack!
Quick & easy to make & very tasty
I also topped them with a large dollop of fat-free sour cream & avocado (a must have on nachos, for me).
Easy and Fast game day appetizer
Very easy to make!!! I used two small cans (approx. 8oz) of swanson's chicken instead of 12oz. Then I served it over some baked cut up yellow corn tortillas.. Will def. make this again!!!
