Cheddar and cream cheeses are mixed with crabmeat, olives and picante sauce to make an irresistible hot dip in just 30 minutes!

  • 1 cup Pace® Picante Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated lump crabmeat
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese(about 4 ounces)
  • 1/4 cup sliced, pitted black olives


  • Tips

    • Serving Suggestion: This dip is delicious served with pita triangles, tortilla chips or fresh vegetables.
    • Ingredient Note: To soften the cream cheese, remove from wrapper and place onto a microwavable plate.  Microwave on HIGH for 15 seconds.
  • Step 1

    Heat the oven to 350°F.

  • Step 2

    Stir the picante sauce and chili powder in a small bowl. Spread the cream cheese in the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate. Top with the picante sauce mixture, crabmeat, Cheddar cheese and olives.

  • Step 3

    Bake for 15 minutes or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.  Top with additional picante sauce.

    My husband and I both love crab but the mixture with salsa just did not make the cut. I will keep looking for a great crab dip

    I made this dip for my sister to bring to a covered dish party and it was a hit. I also made it for a Superbowl party and everybody loved it.
