All you need are 5 ingredients and 20 minutes for a delicious hassle-free fish dinner with a little Mexican flair.  Queso fresco and cilantro are perfect compliments to our flavorful Salsa Verde.  If tilapia is hard to find, any mild white fish will work in this dish.

Ingredients

  • 6 uncooked tilapia fillets (about 1 1/2 pounds)
  • 1 jar (16 ounces) Pace® Salsa Verde
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 6 tablespoons crumbled queso fresco or feta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  • Tips

    • Serving Suggestion:  Serve the tilapia and sauce over hot cooked rice.
  • Step 1

Set the oven to 400°F.  While the oven is heating, spray a 13x9 x2-inch baking dish with vegetable cooking spray.

  • Step 2

Place the fish into the baking dish.  Season the fish as desired.  Spoon 1/4 cup salsa verde onto each fish fillet. Sprinkle with the red pepper and cheese.

  • Step 3

Bake for 10 minutes or until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Sprinkle with the cilantro, if desired.
