Bacon cheeseburger or mac and cheese...why not both? Sautéed ground beef, onion and pasta smothered in a creamy, cheesy bacon sauce makes for an amazing comfort food dinner. It's a no-brainer recipe for a busy weeknight, since you can pull it together in 30 minutes start to finish. Cook the pasta, and while it's cooking, sauté ground beef and onion, add our Cheesy Bacon Sauce and simmer. Add the cooked pasta, then finish with your favorite burger toppings like lettuce, tomato and chopped pickles (you can add a bit of pickle brine to the mixture for more pickle flavor, too)!
Step 1
Cook and drain the pasta according to the package directions. While the pasta is cooking, cook the beef and 1/2 cup onion in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until the beef is well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Stir the sauce in the skillet and heat over medium heat to a simmer. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat. Top with the pickles, tomatoes, remaining 1/2 cup onion and the lettuce, if desired. Serve immediately.
