Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked cavatappi pasta
  • 1 jar (14.5 ounces) Prego® Creamy Cheddar Sauce or Cheesy Bacon Cheddar Cheese Sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup plain panko
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

    • Customize your mac & cheese with these stir-ins: cooked crumbled bacon, cooked ground beef, grilled cubed chicken, buffalo chicken, steamed broccoli, prepared chili, pulled pork, or cooked hot dogs.
    • For a quick and easy stovetop version: Cook the pasta according to the package directions in a 4-quart saucepan. Drain the pasta in a colander and return to the saucepan. Stir in the sauce and heat on over medium heat until the mixture is hot.
  • Step 1

    Cook the pasta according to the package directions in a 4-quart saucepan.  While the pasta is cooking, heat the oven to 375°F.

  • Step 2

    Drain the pasta in a colander and return to the saucepan.  Stir in the sauce, cheese and milk.  Spoon the mixture into an 8x8x2-inch baking dish.  Stir the panko and oil in a bowl.  Sprinkle over the pasta mixture.

  • Step 3

    Bake for 10 minutes or until hot and the panko mixture is golden brown.
