These flavor-packed, grilled chicken skewers are on the table in just 20 minutes...you'll get great flavor fast by using picante sauce seasoned with garlic and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
cost per recipe: $7.01
Place the chicken between 2 pieces of plastic wrap. Pound the chicken to 1/2-inch thickness, using a meat mallet or a rolling pin. Season the chicken as desired. Cut lengthwise into 1-inch strips.
Stir the picante sauce, oil, lime juice, garlic powder and cumin in a small bowl. Add the chicken and toss to coat.
Thread the chicken accordion-style on 8 skewers. Lightly oil the grill rack and heat the grill to medium. Grill for 10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through, turning and brushing often with the picante sauce mixture. Discard any remaining picante sauce mixture.
I made this and found it easy. I served it over salad and my husband enjoyed it. I will make again.
all in all very good. The lime is a great twist . I wish it had more of a garlic taste to this. Pair this with some Spanish rice and of have a award wing combo. I will make this again and enjoy every bite thanx
