This kicked-up stroganoff gets a burst of great flavor from picante sauce...it's ready in just 40 minutes, but it's so good, it tastes like you've been cooking all day!

Step 1
Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat.
Step 2
Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook until the mushrooms are tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in the picante sauce and cook until the mixture is hot and bubbling. Stir in the sour cream. Serve the beef mixture over the noodles. Sprinkle with the parsley.
Tasty and Easy to Make
This recipe has a nice blend of flavors, and is pretty good as leftovers, too. It's one of my go-to recipes. I add the mushrooms when the ground beef is about half-cooked, so the beef is not over-browned by the time the mushrooms are tender. Salsa is a good substitute for the Picante, when I don't have it in the cupboard. :)
Skillet Picante Beef Stroganoff
Yum!!! This is fabulous!! Even my picky 4 year old and 16 month old liked it. Hope I leave enough for my husband to try. :)
I didn't use the sour cream but it still turn out delicious. My husband love it and so did I. Would recommend this to someone else to try that is really fast to prepare when you are someone who is always on the go!
