Deli roast beef simmers in a tangy tomato sauce and is served on toasted hamburger buns to make tasty, family-pleasing sandwiches.
cost per recipe: $21.85
Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until tender, stirring occasionally.
Stir the soup, water, brown sugar, vinegar and Worcestershire and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes. Add the beef (separating the slices so they get coated in the sauce) and cook until the mixture is hot. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Divide the beef and sauce among the buns.
Great for picnics
Made this for the family and they loved it. Quick, easy and delicious. Made a big pot of these sandwiches for a picnic with the neighbors. It was a hit and we are now the favorite people to invite to a party. LOL
Easy and very good.
Delicious and easy, we like to use thin sliced ham also.
With some minor tweaking, this was very good!! We added just a little more Worcestershire sauce and vinegar and a little less sugar and it came out great!! Will definitely be making this again!!
I made this and it was yummy! I will keep and make again.
Good but not great
Nice for a change of pace but 2 of my kids preferred the plain roast beef. It had a good flavor but I probably would not make it again.
