Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 medium white or yellow onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 can (23.2 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Tomato Soup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 pounds sliced deli style roast beef (or leftover roast beef, thinly sliced)
  • 12 Pepperidge Farm® Sesame Topped Hamburger Buns or your choice of brioche buns, toasted

    • Don’t have Worcestershire sauce? Try using 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, along with an extra pinch of brown sugar to replicate the sweetness in Worcestershire. 
  • Step 1

    Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until tender, translucent, and slightly golden.

  • Step 2

    Stir the soup, water, brown sugar, vinegar and Worcestershire and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes. Add the beef (separating the slices so each one is individually coated in sauce for maximum flavor) and cook until the mixture is hot. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Divide the beef and sauce among the buns.
