Busy night?  Don't worry...this kicked-up version of Sloppy Joes is a family favorite that's easy to make and on the table in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Tomato Soup
  • 1 cup Pace® Chunky Salsa
  • 8 Pepperidge Farm® Sesame Topped Hamburger Buns
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Tips

    • Serving Suggestion: Serve with French fries and corn on the cob. For dessert serve chunky applesauce.
  • Step 1

    Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often to separate meat.  Pour off any fat.

  • Step 2

    Stir the soup and salsa in the skillet and cook until the mixture is hot and bubbling.  Spoon the beef mixture on the buns.  Top with the cheese.

    My kids prefer this recipe to the brand-name sloppy joe mix. For a change of pace, it's really good served on rice. It also makes an excellent topping for nachos!

    This was very simple, and I did not have to tweak it at all. This is the first dish I've made in a long time that my teenage boys went back for until it was gone and asked me to make it again!
