Our ham strata recipe features asparagus, ham and Swiss cheese layered with country-style stuffing, covered with a savory custard and baked for a perfect brunch or supper dish.
Step 1
Heat the oven to 350°F. Stir the stuffing, cheese, asparagus and ham in a greased 3-quart shallow baking dish.
Step 2
Beat the soup, milk, eggs and mustard in a medium bowl with a fork or whisk. Pour over the stuffing mixture. Stir and press the stuffing mixture into the milk mixture to coat.
Step 3
Bake for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let stand for 5 minutes. If you'd prefer a meatless strata, try: Cheddar-Swiss Strata
Another family favorite .

Ham and Asparagus Strata
Delicious recipe! I couldn't find pepperidge farms dressing mix so I used stove top chicken dressing, it makes 6 cups, so I added 2/3 cup more milk to the recipe. I used cream of chicken soup along with a can of mushroom soup because the cream of asparagus was not available at my store. I also added about 1/2 cup of green onions and some salt & pepper. I put this in a 9x13 pan. My recipe took 80 minutes to cook until the top was a little brown. Turn out great, my family loved it! It would also make a good breakfast casserole, you could add italian sausage for a twist.
My wife and I really enjoyed this meal. We topped it off with a very mild white wine.
This recipe was very good and easy to make!
