Okay, we get it- when you think tacos, you don't usually think condensed soup.  This recipe for Beef & Cheddar Soft Tacos will change your mind!  The combination of condensed cheddar cheese soup and picante sauce becomes a super-simple queso that coats every bite of the cooked beef with creamy, cheesy, spicy flavor.  Fold into warm tortillas and top with your favorite taco toppings (or scoop out of the skillet with tortilla chips- we won't judge!).  Only 20 minutes to make with only 5 ingredients, Beef & Cheddar Soft Tacos can be your go-to taco recipe!

cost per recipe: $9.47

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 1/2 cup Pace® Picante Sauce
  • 8 flour tortilla (8-inch), warmed
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce

  • Tips

    • What can I use for toppings?  There is no wrong answer to this question!  Here are some ideas- Pace® Chunky Salsa, shredded or crumbled cheese, sour cream, guacamole or even pickled jalapeños!
  • Step 1

Season the beef with salt and pepper.  Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat.

  • Step 2

Stir in the soup and picante sauce and cook until hot.  Season to taste.

  • Step 3

Spoon about 1/3 cup beef mixture down the center of each tortilla. Top with the lettuce.  Fold the tortillas around the filling.

This is my second time making this recipe. It was so yummy. I always season the meat before cooking though.

I love this recipe as a spin on regular tacos...this is more of a saucy taco filling. Yummy and quick!

I thought it was odd that this didn't call for any taco seasoning but I figured the hot sauce would make up for it. It was good, but I'll definitely use some seasoning next time.
