Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni (about 2 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 12 ounces fully cooked andouille sausage, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced (about 1 cup)
  • 1 large green bell pepper, diced (about 1 cup)
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning (amount divided in recipe steps below)
  • 2 cans (10.5 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Celery Soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (about 6 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup panko
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  • Step 1

    Cook the pasta according to the package directions.  While the pasta is cooking, heat the oven to 375°F.  Drain the cooked pasta and keep warm.

  • Step 2

    Meanwhile, heat the oil in a 12-inch cast iron or oven-safe skillet over medium heat.  Add the andouille sausage, onion and pepper and cook 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until tender.  Stir in 1 teaspoon of the Cajun seasoning and cook for 30 seconds.  Stir in the 2 cans of soup and the milk and bring to a simmer.  Stir in the cheese and cook until the cheese is melted.

  • Step 3

    Stir in the cooked pasta.   Mix the panko, butter and remaining 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning in a small bowl. Sprinkle the panko mixture over the pasta mixture.

  • Step 4

    Bake for 20 minutes or until hot and the panko mixture is golden brown.
