We love our slow cooker. Because slow cooker plus condensed soup equals foolproof, as this recipe for Slow Cooker Pork Chops proves. All you need are 4 ingredients- just throw them in the cooker and let it do all the work. The cream of mushroom and celery soups become a creamy gravy for cooking the pork until it's fall-off-the-bone tender. And, you can customize it to use whatever is on hand. Want to use boneless pork chops instead? Go ahead! You can even use boneless chicken breasts- just reduce the cook time to 6 to 7 hours on Low (boneless chicken breasts need less time in the cooker). Or try this easy Creole & beer seasoned version: Slow Cooker Smothered Pork Chops.

Step 1
Season the pork with salt and pepper. Layer the pork and onion in a 3 1/2-quart slow cooker. Stir the soups in a small bowl. Pour the soup mixture over the pork and onion.
Step 2
Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours or until the pork is fork-tender. Season to taste. Serve the pork and sauce with hot cooked rice or noodles, if desired.

So easy and so tender. The pork just fell off the bone.

Simple and tasty
This really is probably 4 stars taste-wise, but the fact that is just so very easy earns it another star. I, like many reviewers use boneless chops just because they're easier, and next time I may add some additions, maybe some mushrooms (probably have to sautee them first) and some celery.
